The Airplane Peanuts

Hello, there. I ate the peanuts on the plane. I know, I know. I’ve read the articles, too, dear reader. You know the ones, where the author begins with Five Worst Snacks to Eat on the Plane or something to that effect, and proceeds to report that eating salty foods on planes will be our demise. I don’t know about you, but when I read these sorts of articles, I feel compelled to go on a plane with the writer. Why? Well, because I would like to know if they actually practice what they preach. You see, the overly-salted peanuts have always been a staple in my flight kit, no matter what it does to me. It doesn’t feel like an actual flight until I have my peanuts. I suppose it’s because I’ve grown up eating peanuts and sipping apple juice on planes (though I don’t like apple juice anymore). It’s a tradition, of sorts. Or, perhaps, it’s a bad habit. Keeping the Holiday Humbug at Bay

Hello, there. During the holiday season, it can be quite difficult to be away from home. For the first time in my life, I am spending much of my holiday season (not the actual holidays, thank goodness!) away from friends, family, and the daily sights I associate with holiday times. I think that if I struggle with this problem, many others probably struggle with it, too. And if you don’t, dear reader, then count your blessings. Perhaps this post will remind you to be thankful for what you have. Storyville Coffee Company

 

Hello, there. Having spent all my life in Seattle, I like to consider myself somewhat of an expert on the best places to visit in town. In all honesty, I must give the credit of discovering this marvelous oasis to my sister. After visiting Storyville with some friends, she came home raving about the wonderful coffee shop above Pike Place Market that was “unlike any coffee store you’ve ever been to”.
